Jean-Marc Lange, born November 17, 1945 in Canteleu (Seine-Maritime) is a French artist, draftsman, painter and sculptor.

Jean-Marc Lange spent his childhood in Grand-Quevilly, near Rouen (Seine-Maritime). He was admitted in October 1961 to the regional school of fine arts in Rouen for his first artistic studies. His teachers are Pierre Dauphin, Mouille, Dandeville, Lesage, Toublanc, Robert Savary, René Leleu, Jacques Ramondot.

In November 1964, he entered the studio of the painter Maurice Brianchon at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. Selected for the Rome Competition, he won a first Grand Prix de Rome for painting at the end of three months in the dressing rooms for his painting Le Songe. The paintings of Jean-Marc Lange inspired by the Roman terraces and the beaches of Ostia from 1966, develop like a long suite featuring deckchairs, large pots, figures, by very drawn compositions, in warm colors, atmospheres of storms and high winds, those of the sirocco or the libeccio.
